Another Water Leak

Please check your properties for a new leak. I will wait to call helen's pumps till I here from everyone.

1. I am reminding you all of the paperwork that I rec'd from the State regarding our water system status change and the new procedures that we need to have in place by 4/15. We have been getting new forms from the state and county for the water system. We need to hire someone that knows what/how to conform with the new laws.

2. I am reminding you all of the report I rec'd from North West Water Systems with regards to the Alpine Village Property Owners Water System SWSMP. There is a binder full of information and it's too large to send in an email.

I would like to suggest that we schedule a meeting sometime soon to go over these issues.

WE HAVE A WATER LEAK!

We have used 14 gallons of Clorox in 24 hrs. I am in Seattle all day tomorrow 12/19/09. I will talk to Karen and see if she can look. I feel that we need to have the shut off valves MARKED at each lot. I think each owner should be required to mark their valves. If they don't and there is a leak, they should be held financially responsible for locating it and for the repair.

I just want to clarify; Is it easier to email the board and carry on discussions or to use the blog for discussions? Is the blog exclusively for the board? I know that everyone gets an email alert when a blog is posted. I feel that the blog is a useful tool for all to view at once and comment on, and the web site is on a need to know bases. Just my 2 cents...Brad

CMZ Information

Hi Bart, Thanks for the invitation to blog and I will be glad to keep everyone updated. I have attended most of the 12 member Citizens Advisory Committee meetings that the county has convened as an observer only, but we do have an Alpine resident on the committee. Jeff Barney purchased the Palmer place and he was appointed to the Citizens Committee along with 4 other Ashford residents so we are strongly represented. I will be attending a meeting tonight and a recommendation may be made on how to define CMZS. This is a very slow process to say the least. My personal belief is that a CMZ will put in place in some form and that will also entail restrictions. The committee will make recommendations to the County in all of these areas. There is also a County web site to see all the past and future Committee meeting notes and agenda. So this is really the best place to get a feel for the whole process and get a feel where this is all going. I will be in touch.
